Anybody ever make homemade ketchup? Jesse called it potato sauce when he was little and my crowd still likes it a lot. I've been scoping out some recipes... It sure would be nice to feel good about serving it.
Once upon a time, my poor tired Mama tried to cut some corners by serving rehydrated potato flakes and calling them 'mashed potatoes'. Even as a tot, I knew they weren't mashed and I was suspicious of the 'potato' part. I dubbed them 'plastic potatoes' and let it be known I wasn't having any. Sorry Mom!
